In 2016, we expanded our offerings by merging with another agency, Creative California. Under the leadership of Josh Rubin, Post Modern Marketing now has the most knowledgeable web team in our region, drawing on the strengths of a stable team of designers, developers, writers, and experienced marketing professionals to provide the best possible service to our clients.

Josh Rubin grew up in Southern California, and first discovered an interest in web design when he built his first website in the mid-1990s, and began his Internet marketing career in 2003 as a graphic designer and web developer. He developed an expertise in SEO, web development, and overall marketing strategy, and has run marketing campaigns for both startups and established national companies. In 2009 he launched his own SEO and web company, Creative California, and in 2016 merged his company with Post Modern Marketing and subsequently became the owner and CEO. In his free time, he volunteers with Sacramento’s SCORE, suffers through one terrible 49ers season after another, and explores Sacramento’s countless brunch offerings.

Ron Humes graduated college from Wisconsin with degrees in science and mathematics and spent 10 years as an Environmental Consultant across most of the western, midwestern and southeastern United States. In 2000, he decided to follow a creative passion for working with people in the housing market, where he became a licensed Residential Realtor, Broker and Builder and ran his own top-selling firm for the next 19 years with his wife Deb. As Ron became more educated and aware of the importance and power of Digital Media and Marketing, he developed a passion for standard and aerial photography, videography, social media campaigns and sales. When Ron and Deb aren’t involved with their children or at the gym, you can find them creating offroad tracks in their Jeep and helping others do the same as they explore every backroad they find across the country.
Isabel joined PMM having previously worked for an app company. Leveraging her customer service knowledge and on-the-ground marketing skills, she strives to improve transparency and communication clarity to increase efficiency for our clientele, as well as within our company.
Emily Baker is an all-around web extraordinaire who came to web development industry with experience in graphic design, WordPress development, and social media. She was originally our Project Manager, before making the leap to professional web development in 2017. Emily is from Portland, Oregon, and earned her B.A. from Bard College in Massachusetts. She has long carried a passion for the performing arts, previously working as a stage manager for a number of theatrical productions. She still indulges her love of the theatre by volunteering her time at local Sacramento theatres.
Amy Ly discovered her love for art at the age of 3 when she first began to draw, and from that point on, she always knew that was her career field of choice. She made the transition to computer graphic design in high school, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from U.C. Davis. She also loves to cook, and enjoys trying out new recipes and creating her own. She enjoys making people laugh, and keeps the office entertained with her impromptu dance performances.
John Nesler provides PMM’s clients with the written content they need to put their best marketing foot forward, but wears a lot of hats around the PMM office, serving as inter- and intra-office editor, background researcher and pinch-hit developer. With a background in math and science, as well as a B.A. in English from U.C. Davis, John has a broad spectrum of knowledge, which he draws upon every day when assisting PMM’s clients. Much of his free time is dedicated to raising his young son, but he still finds the time to read, explore Midtown Sacramento, and discover some of the region’s most promising new breweries.
Jessica joined our team with a background in digital and print marketing strategy, along with a passion for clear communication and efficiency. Before joining PMM, Jessica worked in the finance industry as an in-house digital media and communications specialist, and independently worked with business owners to help them achieve their marketing visions. She earned a B.A. in Communication Studies, with concentrations in Mass Media and Interpersonal Communications, from CSU Sacramento. She is a lover of songwriting, animals, and nature, and was born and raised in Placer County.
A local through and through, Julian was born and raised in Elk Grove, and recently completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications—with a minor in Film Studies—at Sacramento State. Julian has worked in marketing since 2014, developing his professional skills even as he pursued his degree. Hungry to grow his knowledge of digital marketing, Julian is excited to hit the ground running as the newest member of PMM’s marketing team. When he’s not busy helping our clients grow their businesses, Julian enjoys watching and discussing films with a passion that is only matched by his love for the Dodgers.
Alexander has been a professional copywriter and researcher for over six years, and on a daily basis writes original content across a broad range of subjects and industries. He has written copy for entertainment venues, HVAC vendors, lawyers, agricultural companies, solar brokers, and more. Additionally, Alexander has written and edited Google AdWords placements for multiple clients, helping to drive clicks and conversions.
Joseph has extensive experience with web development, as well as a decade of experience in server administration and IT security. Joseph is multi-talented, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining membership sites and e-commerce stores,and managing websites in production environments. He has also managed contractors and vendors, planned network upgrades, created original documentation, and provided employee training.
Originally from Wilmore, KY, Bryan has worked as a professional Web Developer for six years in the Lexington, KY area. After graduating with his AS in Information Management and Design, Bryan designed websites for local startups and horse farms, as well as large manufacturing companies and resellers. In his free time, Bryan enjoys taking day trips with his wife, running through the newest video games, and wondering if the Browns will finally have a winning season.
Jacob Mondine was born and raised in Kentucky and recently completed a BA in Computer Science from Berea College with a double minor in Business Administration and Broadcast Journalism. Prior to joining PMM as a full-time Web Developer, Jacob worked with a variety of companies as a freelance web developer with background experience in WordPress. In his free time, Jacob enjoys playing video games, spending time with family and friends, and hiking.
Born and raised in Woodland, Bob Huber got his start developing software for a local immunogenetics laboratory where he tested and analyzed genetic markers for registered horses, bison, and cattle. The years he spent integrating his software into the lab’s website resulted in Bob becoming a capable web developer. His career took a turn when he volunteered to develop a site for a local political candidate. The subsequent flood of referrals for dev work from campaign consultants and nonprofits led him to found his own web design company, Elab Technologies. We stumbled across his fantastic work, and somehow convinced Bob to join the PMM team! When we don’t have Bob chained to his desk, he looks forward to having more time to spend with his kids, camping, hiking, and rediscovering his love of photography.
Deb Humes is excited to be a member of Post Modern Marketing. She has been a licensed Real Estate Agent, Office Manager and Bookkeeper in Lexington, KY for 19 years. She and her husband Ron owned and managed their own top-selling Real Estate Company with Construction Services, as well as a Newspaper and two Magazines in the Lexington and Louisville markets. She was originally educated and trained in the Exercise Science and Physical Therapy Industry and brings years of Sales and Customer Relations experience to PMM. Deb serves as an Office Manager in the Southeast Division of PMM and works with the Corporate Office in Sacramento to expand the Division. In her free time she enjoys weightlifting, running, hiking, Off-Roading, and spending time with her family.
Vanessa started out answering phones for a security company in the Philippines, eventually working her way up into management, becoming VP and CEO. She earned a B.A. of Arts and Science in Political Science, and a Bachelor of Accountancy. She then emigrated, starting over in Sacramento, where she was a salesperson for local agricultural companies. She then joined Field True, where she was head of accounts payable and receivable, and fleet manager for Capay Organic and Farm Fresh to You. At PMM, she manages payroll, accounting, day-to-day operations, and just about anything else we can throw at her, big or small.
Chewie, a 3 year old mixed-breed, graduated from the Sacramento SPCA in 2015 and has since become a valuable member of our team, providing therapeutic services in exchange for treats and a constant supply of attention.
